"La furia roja" was brought to the O2 Arena last night in a somewhat suprising match which David Ferrer outplayed and outhit World Number 1 Novak Djokovic 6-3 6-1. Many in the crowd had come to see the World Number 1 but the performace Djokovic put out was far from being world number 1. Thrust into the limelight (or even blue light) of the gladiator arena that is the O2, Janko Tipsarevic battle valiantly against Tomas Berdych but was very unfortunate to lose his debut ATP World Tour Finals match to the Czech. Sitting by the practice courts everyone was expecting Andy Murray to turn up. Well, he didn't and the waiting crowd were pretty pissed off. Instead, Jo Wilfried Tsonga came to warm up. Watching tennis is a tiring business and every dedicated tennis fan needs their 8 hours of sleep. Yesterday proved a tough one to get through as although I was not ticketed I went along to the O2 to sample the atmosphere given the buzz that's usually generated when Andy Murray plays.
